Uri bouldering offers quality granite and gneiss in the dramatic alpine scenery of the Reuss Valley in central Switzerland. The problems tend toward powerful, featured rock with good edges and slopers, at altitudes where cool conditions arrive early in autumn and linger into late spring. Less crowded than neighboring Ticino, Uri rewards the travelling boulderer with peaceful forest settings, clean landings, and the kind of solid friction that Swiss alpine rock is known for.
